Artist's Statement
2020 was a very difficult year for the entire world. I lost my only sister and my wife lost a brother, neither from Covid. Since funerals were not safe I thought of how I could create an artwork that included them. I created sixteen panels that incorporate 508 words about 2020. Each panel has memories of the year. From BLM to the heroes that worked through the pandemic the panels recall events and issues of the year.
